so theres alot of people that have issues with this particular dash piece. i decided to fix mine and only took a few days since it was a lot to glue together, so anyway heres a few pictures ov what i did. also i used just some jb-weld ( any glue for plastic will work) then some sand paper and spray paint but i would suggest for a nicer overall look that you use some epoxy putty over the cracked areas and sand smooth and while you have it out find some really fine wire mesh at home depot or something and cut it ti fit in the back and then glue it to add some strenght or you can try fiberglass but be careful with it and dont skip out on a good mask and some gloves if you go that route, also you could use fiberglass over the top insted if you have some experiance with it. but i just basically wanted some functionality out of it rather than looks since all my switches have just been dangling and didnt spend much time sanding and resurfacing it but if you want to take the time to make it look better go ahed. anyway
heres a few just to get an idea of how bad it was. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() remove all the vents and any of the buttons ![]() heres after removing everything, if you want a professional look use epoxy putty over the cracks after you sand down any exessc glue and sand everything smooth. i just spent mayb 10 mins sanding cause im after funcionality rathe than looks ![]() ![]() once youve done that paint, look at either autozone or like home depot or some kinda cratfs store, make sure it dosent have any kind of gloss finish get something flat. i know it looks shiny in the pic but i took it while it was still wet, its dried now and looks good and i installed it and am happy to have all my buttons no longer just dangling there even though it dosent look great if i our you spend more time resurfacing and smoothing out everything it would look real nice. ![]() so yeah any question reply or PM me okay?
