The exterior handle mechanism has failed and unable to open door. Unfortunately the child lock was on and now I am unable to open the door. Can anyone assist with some advice, like I am thinking I have to remove the interior door panel and hopefully will be able to unlock the child proof mechanism from inside the door frame?? - thanks

That's not a difficult fix. You just remove the door panel and pull the rod that connects to the door latch and the door will open right up. You can unclip the and remove the rear seat bottom and move the front seat up to give you more room to work. The rear door handles are left and right swappable also. If one goes bad you can move it to the other side and it'll work. So if the right handle messes up you can use it as a left handle and move the left one to the right side and everything will work again.
