thanks for that i got the head faced and pressure tested and he loosened the tappets and didn't know the clearances " i think 6 on inlet and 10 on ex" is what he said AND HE IS MENT TO BE A HEAD SPECIALIST ??? I think he is a wanker.
i have adjusted them to .30mm but it still is loud they were not that loud before i took the head off.. do you have to bleed the tappets or can i make them tighter with out damaging anything??

0.15-.25mm inlet and 0.25-0.35m exhaust cold is typically right for every motor.

Are you clearancing them with the engine hot or cold? Makes a huge difference.

On my FE 2.0 pickup I've set my lash as tight as .006" intake and .007" exhaust (adjusted cold), any tighter than that and you may run into problems with the valves staying open once the engine warms up. I've routinely set mine for .007" intake and .008" exhaust (adjusted cold) for several years without problems.

Thanks for the link Matsuda 9, a linkback from mazdatruckin has been made in return.

Good evening. At me 929 HB 86 year engine FE. At you the injector or the carburettor, at me is a lot of questions. At us literatures on them are not present. And what at you?
