Amplifiers: Currently in my possession are 2 x Alpine MRV-1507 2 Channel amps. (1 per sub), an MRV-F407 for my fronts (these are for my midbass only) and an MRV-F303 for my rear fill. I'm hunting down another MRV-F407 to run the Dayton RS52 mids and Vifa XT25 tweeters, so for now, I'll run the current F407 I already have and my F303 will run my midbass drivers. I won't worry about powering my rear fill until I get the other amp. I love my old school Alpine V12 amplifiers... solid works of art, they are.

Subwoofers: Phoenix Gold Xmax 12" V.2 x 2
![]() ![]() Old school reputable SQ subs. I'd love to have these in 10" form... but I'll explore that avenue much later. I'll work with what I have for now ![]() MP3 stacker: ![]() ![]() My 2 little secret weapons: ![]() My DD5 and BassCUBE (Thanks to the boys from the PG Phorums Legends)![]() ![]() ![]() These will go on my parcel shelf with rear fill I'll show pics of my rear shelf afterwards.

Actually.. here's my proposed rear shelf:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Above, you'll notice the measurements of the gap I have to work with in between the speakers. I'm completely removing that brake light on my parcel shelf (as I have external brake lights that are PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for Stevie Wonder to miss, let alone the average man!) and I will have enough room for the DD5 and the BassCUBE in between. This is my old 929: ![]() ![]() ![]() In between the covers, I'll house the BassCUBE and the DD5 under a cover like the speaker covers here. Make it all stealth on the back. Off course, under the covers of the new shelf will be my mids... no Kicker 7x10s like they are in these pics.

For the install of the head unit (from start to scratch), click on THIS LINK HERE.
But here's the before shot ![]() ![]() ... and here are the after shots ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A VERY satisfied customer Now just waiting on the cup holder/drawer below to arrive from Autobarn and that will complete the install. The drink drawer (that sits underneath the headunit) will be in by next week (Autobarn had to do an exclusive order apparently!) Here's what the drawer looks like: ![]() I'd rather THIS than the famous "drink sitter-on-toppera" in the glove box! :P hahaha

Now, BOOTSKIS layout....
![]() Now, excuse the Avantgarde amp, that's in there for measurement sake. Eventually that's where the other F407 will sit. I will just house the 2 x 4 channels on that line for now... then once the next amp comes along, I'll fit the F303 in between the 2 x F407s ![]() Here's the same shot is with ANOTHER F303 in there (shocking.. I know. That's why I never pursued a career in computer graphics design :P) But you get the idea! hahaha ![]() ![]() OK, now that I have I have my boot layout organised... time to draft things up and get ready to build them up.

My fronts will be a bit more involving. I'll be fibreglass enclosing the dual 6.5" midbasses in the doors and the RS52/XT25 combo will be in fibreglass built kick panels.
The look I'm hoping to achieve will be this: ![]() Obviously this isn't my setup (I WISH!!) but this configuration is what I'll be looking for. I'll post up build up progress as it comes along... Wish me luck

Hey dude
Gone with the spider sounds, hey? :P Yeah., I'm a BIG fan of the old school Soundstream gear. I'm installing a set of old blue basket Rubicon 12" subs in a Satria GTi. I can't say I've used the newer Sounstream gear, so I can't comment on the quality or sound. I'd be interested to see how your install comes together though . ![]() I'll take a stab at the alternator you're wishing to upgrade to: ![]() Well, I got the prices on the Exodus Audio Anarchy mids I want to upgrade to down the track. Let's just say for now (because they are a long way off coming to Aussie shores on a bulk shipment), to get a set of 4 mids will cost me a price of a fair condition 929! :P SO I'll hold off for a little bit for now. But these speakers are worth it. Here's the link on them. I can't WAIT to get my dirty mitts on them! :P
