Never had a rebuild, but I did swap mine for a low mileage unit from Attarco last year... Cost $475 for the motor including shipping, and I paid $600 for the swap. I recommend replacing all the coolant hoses, especially the heater hoses, and te ones which go through the EGR. If your radiator or block has any rust, might wanna flush before hand also, as the rust will settle and plug up the heater core. Have new gaskets for the intake and exhaust manifolds ready as well.
Might be worth checkin on the timing belt and tensioner, as well as pulleys/rollers. Also coolant pump & thermostat, unless you're confident theyre all good. |

I did an engine rebuild before and I was able to replace the head gasket and lights. I also bought an engine rebuild kit.

older post but worth to be answered
Hi Jordan, I experienced a total engine rebuild by myself due to a worn crankshaft bearing. I stripped the engine down to all the single parts it consists of. cleaned, rebuild & reassembled the whole thing and brought it back to life. Any questions you need to get answered ? Greetings, Robert |
