Anyone drain gas tank annually?
Our car manual says to do it once/year. I never did on my old 929 and I had it 2-3 years. With my new one it has stalled a couple times over 5 months when cold outside (automatic tranny). It will be when the car is warming up at a stop and the idle is a little rough and goes under 500 rpm. Do you think this is related? It should be up to date on maintenance besides the gas tank draining (some maintenance done by me). I'll see how it does when warm outside and if it keeps happening. I know there is a whole list of what to do for stalling. Thanks.

I have never drained the gas tank on my 929.
But water/ice in the fuel lines could mess up the idle. Water in the gas tank would either come from bad gas or condensation. So if you drive a lot with half or quart tank, and live where temperature changes quick then draning the tank could be a good idea.
