well, because the pump isn't cycling and it was going out anyway it would whine and squeak just before sputtering and cutting off on me and that was my plan to replace it anyway, but I'm glad that i didn't do that cause it would have pissed me off that i just replaced it and then the timing belt snapping next.
and i would have pointed to the pump as having caused this and i wouldn't have thought that it was the timing belt. how ever i know its the timing belt now and i figure if i have the car in the shop i might as well have them do the pump while its in the bay and they got the tools out, lol
