well i think i came to the dead end with my HE... as much as i LOVE this car, i think more and more about selling it and go and chase my dreams...im currently putting it all back to stock...keeping the rims for my next car...
i might keep it and give it to my missus to drive it instead of shitty nissan pulsar. we shall see...i simply have no time for it and to be honest, i run out of motivation and just not too keen to waste any more money on it. i know i will regret selling it...but hey its life, isnt it?

I know how strange it feels to think about letting the old 929 go away. I bought my first in 1990, an 88 w/14K miles. That was the first of 7 that I've owned and I still have 2 left. Never bought any newer than 89 though. Parts are getting scarce, even the traffic on this site is slowing down a lot from a few years ago. I did find some Monroe part numbers for replacement shocks but don't know if I want to go through with all the work involved. My wife is driving the "good" 929, less than 100K and everything works as it should but, I don't know if I can continue to play the maintenance game with these cars. I bought an old 85 Mercedes Diesel and have a feeling this may be what I replace the 929's with, a couple of these old diesels. Wife likes them too so all would work out pretty good. Even though an 85 is pretty old, parts are plentiful used and even new (expensive) but the old diesel MBs are like rocks.

the market is getting pretty dry. I've been trying to give away parts instead of scrapping them. times is hard

meh, mine needs complete rebuild , every time i think maybe it's time to throw the towel in, get something like a GS300, Rx8 or Legnum... i think insurance, i think parts (easier but expensive), i think about the some of the people that drive them.....
then some one at traffic light asks what the **** is my car, then the light will fall just right... and i'm in love with it again.... **** with the pain and money, can't get what 929 gives you in comfort, style (for the age) and WTF factor. i love it (not always )
