Default 929 92 window regulator matches with any other makes?

hello, we all know the issues with the 929 92-95 right rear window regulators. My 91 Sentia HD (same as 929 '92-95) needs the RR window regulator motor, cable the full assembly. A local wrecker in melbourne quoted me $250 for it. what do you guys think?

i was looking at ebay for window regulator assemblies, and was wondering, would any else models fit? maybe the 626?

even the bimmers e46 assemblies are around $70!

thanks

saif

first off i have done the research on this and i found no other car that has our stile regulator that will work there were a few taht i though would but they were too short or too long to use and also they weren't designed for curved glass and frame-less windows so they cant handle the stresses.

one question what happened to yours? did teh cable snap or just jump the spline? also if it is anything like that jsut rebuild it with stuff from homedepot or lowes like i did, new cable, and zip ties to secure the runners at the top and bottom of the slide you will need 6 all together but it is just taking the zip tie over the runner in an x pattern and it will secure it to the slide also put the other one on the cable guid and it will keep it from snaping and alow the cable to stay straight.

now if the cable snapped you will need the same if not larger gauge wire to put in its place i bought 10ft of 10ga 8piece wire. then just get a dremel and make the spline in the winder deeper and sand it down after so the cable doesnt snag and congrats! its better than the stock one and look at it this way you did it for $30 and you jsut have 3 windows left to do lol

i did it to all of them and so far no issues and they work better than they used to.

many thanks for your reply lune. when i bought the car a couple of months ago, the RR door had no electrics inside, and the regulator (by itself) was kept at the boot. So as of now i have nothing but the regulator motor. Need the whole cable and all that. I wish i have a diagram or a photo to look at to put all back together.

what are the things that i need? it is also a matter of being able to find them in melbourne. i am getting a lot of wind noise dripping in from that window which is driving me insane! hahah. thanks again in advance for your reply

that makes it a bit harder if you don't have the actual rails for the window to roll on so id go with the 250 one cause with out the rest of it you cant really to the repairs i stated here

well, headlights are a easy fix, what you can do is clean them up or smoke them out. also you can add a HID kit and get the 4.3k or 5k and thats the best you can hope for really.

the tails are very sexy when smoked but not blacked out.
