1990 929 Valve Cover

Just purchased a 1990 929 the previous owner told me that every 500 to 800 miles a spark plug will foul out caused by oil leaking in to the area around the plug. He has tried replacing the valve cover gasket without success. Any ideas as to any other remedies that I might try?

ok, more info, is it double cam or single? which plug is it?

did you clean the mating faces, did you use genuine gasket, did you use any sealant
