je engine wont fit in

ive got a hc luce that factory had the jft engine and was converted to diesel a long time ago, i have since bought a je engine that was in a mazda mpv with engine mounts etc. the diesel only had adaptor plates that were bolted on to the original engine mounts on the xmember, i went to bolt the new je engine in today and it seems to hit the sump on the xmember with still another 100mm or so before its low enough to sit on the engine mounts, any ideas? do mpv take shorter engine mounts? anyone got std hc engine mounts that can be sent to newzealand lol?

i always thought they were same :/

with the mounts, i don't have any, also i doubt anyone would have a set laying around.. but maybe.

if you will get desperate, try Allmaz - Mazda Wreckers. these guys are not the cheapest, but they know what they talking about and can send parts too
