Rear spoiler on hard top

I just bought a 2012 grand tourning PRHT and was told you can't install a rear spoiler on it! Anyone know why? Anyone ever tried or done it? Can you put an aftermarket on that looks like the factory one? I can't figure out what the deal is.

You definately can but u might have to drill through the trunk. I wouldnt do it though

I researched all over the internet and no one makes one. The deck lid is 42 7/16 on the arch. Very short. I am looking at getting a lip spoiler mad for something like a second generation Acura TL and shortening it? This one uses double sided tape. No drilling. somebody is missing the boat not making one for this car. Mazda are you listening????
