I want to remove the badges on the 2003 MPV rear tail gate door. If there are mounting holes for the emblems(ex. "MPV", "MAZDA", or "ES" or the Mazda emblem itself), I will not be able to remove them without filling in the holes somehow. If only adhesive is used on the emblems (which ones?) then I can remove them and not have to polish around them. I also think the vehicle looks cleaner without the emblems on. The salesman says all but the "ES" badge are mounted using holes in the door. Any knowledgeable feedback????? Anyone have the 2003 (or recent generation) MPV shop manual which might have my answer??
If only adhesive is used, what is the best technique for removing the badge? THANX for your help! I had a response from a Millenia owner, but I feel the MPV that I have asked about above may be different than on the Millenia. Please provide only MPV related information. THANX again for your help!

On most Mazdas, the "mazda" and the car model name emblems are usually held in with pins, while trim level and/or engine emblems are stuck on.
Unfortunately, you'll have holes. I believe that there will be plastic pin holders in the metal of the door, so you'll have to take those out too(by taking apart the hatch door panel), then take some apoxy and fill in the holes, sand off the excess, paint, wet sand it, etc. Personally, it's not worth it. And I tend to enjoy letting people know what I'm driving, afterall, if you like your MPV, why not let other people know that it's a good car?
