Hey all, new to the site. glad to see there's a Mazda forum out there.

Anyway, if anyone can help, i'd greatly appreciate it.

Ok so a friend of mine has a 92 MPV that I am looking to buy. It has some issues so it's not going to be very expensive I'm sure. Just another "means to an end" vehicle. at about 220k miles, he says that with a new thermo, it tends to start overheating just a few minutes after startup. I am assuming it's directly related to the waterpump and or belt (haven't checked it out yet). According to him, it runs or should i say ran fairly well otherwise. He mentioned some hesitations at idle which I haven't looked into yet. That could be a number of things, so at the moment I am focusing on the cooling.

Anyone have any experience with very high mileage MPVs?

Also, I haven't done any physical measuring, but I need to fit motorcycles in. (one at a time). Granted there isn't much height on the tailgate, and the van isn't very long. So I am wondering if anyone has had experiences putting motorcycles in MPVs. If so, what kind of bike (for size comparison), and how much effort was involved?

Thanks for the input.

Not sure about motorbikes, but my 92 mpv can fit 5 mountain bikes and 5 passengers in it with ease. With the middle row seat removed.

You should buy your buddy's mpv. they're great vehicals. They're real workhorses too.
