My MPV 2003's o/d light is flashing once in a while, about once in a month. It disappears when I stop and restart the engine, or press the o/d button. I talked to a mechanic in the MZ dealer. The person saids that it is very hard to found the cause unless it is flashing when the car is in. I.e., I have to wait until the next flashing o/d to find the cause. I have to make a long distance trip next week. What if the car stop in the middle of no where during the trip? Anybody has any idea on this? Thanks.

p.s. One of my friends has the same problem with 2002(?) MPV from the same dealer I bought the car. First, flashing o/d, after a while at one point all the warning lights are on, could not find the reason why and after that the car stoped on a highway, luckly not very far from the city he lives.

I have had that happen to me too. I found that the shift lever was not properly engaged, when I gave it little push it snaped into position and the light stoped blinking.
Hope that helps.

Cool

Me again. I took it to the dealer. The mechanic said that the shift is not properlyaligned. And He readjusted it. That should take care of the problem. I think the one comment up there may be related to the problem I had. Thanks for the comment.
