Rust around edge of side door windows

I'm considering the purchase of a 2000 MPV with 82K miles for $7,700. Other than the problem noted here, everything on the van seems to be in quite good condition.

I noticed some paint bubbling (rust) along the vertical edges of both sides of the sliding door window. Same problem on both doors. I didn't see such bubbling anywhere else on the van.

Has anybody had this problem? Has anybody fixed it? If so, cost? Advice?

I was thinking this van is a few thousand $ less expensive than something else and I could take some of that money and do the repair. Can such a repair be made ... and will it last?

my advice to you is look for another car/mini
from reading this post and the other one i think you should just spend the extra money and buy something else
thats just my 2 cents
