Well seeing as I'm too lazy to go measure,I'll guess it to be 2 inchs wide 4 inches long.I am so bad at measurments that I did go out there and measure. You can see the seat belt bolt below the hole but there is a bolt dead center of the hole that goes to ??????I have no idea.Like I said I poped the frame out and rigged it and it really looks good, you honestly wouldn't know it wasn't like that all along,I am guessing it is a vent.

Guess I didn't say how i rigged it,LOL. I think it's a vent I really do,it's above the rear drivers seat belt in the far back cargo area.I took the frame out and with plastic made vents and super glued them in,then I painted them the same color as the mpv interior. It pays to paint as a hobby,I have so many colors to mix and get the right color.
Do you think that it is a vent??If not thats what it is now,LOL

if it isnt a vent, it sounds like a good place to hide dope when trafficing it across the states.

Then again I'm sure it has changed since 1998.

Noting that I haven't thoroghly been in a later 1st gen MPV than our '92, this might not be the same, but looking at my MPV New Model Information book from 1988(yeah, I'm quite the historian) and also our '92, there's 2 cubbies on either side in the back behind the seat. They are both covered, I believe one is for the rear wiper fluid, and the other is for the jack and tools, in which I think(I can't remember the last time I saw them with the covers off) there's a bolt to hold the jack in. If you are missing the cover, and missing the jack, it would probably look as you've described...

Actually the jack in a 1998 in under the passenger side seat,it's not in the rear.I have two cubbies in the rear low to the floor one is the washer fluid, the other is to get in to rear the air cond. The hole I am talking about is high up on the side panel and is 2 by 4 inches much to small for a jack.It is around a foot below the top of the mpv on the drivers side rear panel, with it being up so high thats what makes me think it a vent for the rear heat and air.
