1997 MPV questions

My girlfriend and I just bought a 1997 Mazda MPV ES with only 56,000 miles for $7500. Other than a few cosmetics, it is nearly perfect. She absolutely loves it but I am wanting to replace the cassette with a CD/Cassette or at least a CD, I don't want to go aftermarket so I am wondering what interchanges? Thanks

I'm not sure what interchanges,but I'll tell you what I did.In my other vechile the stereo system is an Infinti stereo a very nice system the was standered in the van I did not wont to replace it so I bought a 6 cd player changer at Circuit city they installed it.The player changer is under the drivers seat (but can be put anywhere)a card runs to the back of the stereo and the cd's play through your radio.On a preset station.
I prefered going this way rather than change every thing.My MPV has a cd player in it but where I have come accustium to changeing the cd's with a push of the remote,we are going to take the Pioneer changer player out of the van and put it in the Mazda.A good stereo system is fairley pricey,with a changer though you get 6 or more cd's to play at will.We paid like 216.00 for the pionner and installing.
