Should I buy an MPV?

Hello! I just got up in the forum and know that this is not the best place to ask this question because I can already imagine the responses you: "Yes, you should!"

I have a large family by Brazilian standards (wife and four children) and eventually when we went out to do some travel or tour also need to bring my mother or my wife's mother, for this reason I am looking for a minivan and I liked the MPV.

What worries me is the cost of maintenance, especially of the parts. I'm used vehicle that most people do not like (I've had Lada Niva), and can do a lot of light maintenance. If you need to do some heavy maintenance, take a mechanic friend that does the job, but he does not look to find parts.

Usually evaluate the possibility of exchanging parts of similar vehicles common in Brazil, that have parts made here with a very affordable price and high quality. When you can not find here at attractive prices, the E-bay is the way to solve the problem.

So, am I a good candidate to be the future owner of an MPV?
