torque specs for valve cover

I just picked up a 1992 mx-3 1.6 4 cyl, and i need to replace the valve cover gasket. i was curious if anyone knew the torque specs for the bolts when i'm putting the cover back on. i did this gasket on my ex-wifes neon, and used a crisscross pattern for the order of the bolts when putting them back on, and am assuming i should do the same here.

I believe for the '92 MX-3 the torque is 35-40 ft lbs.
