My mazda runs perfect when the engine is cold. After about 30 min it starts to act up. When im waiting at a light it idles rough, it sounds like it skips. When im accelerating in low rpm (anywhere up to 2500) the car hestitates and sounds like its either skipping or maybe its not getting enough fuel. I was thinking maybe the fuel pump is dying on me but it dosnt make sense that it only acts up in low rpm.
I was thinking of cleaning the fuel injectors to see if it would change anything. I also was thinking of changing the spark plugs. If anyone knows anything or has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. thanks |

Mcd,
I have a 92 MX3 GS with the 1.8L and had the same problem for a little while. After much headache trying to find out what it was, my car solved that for me by breaking down lol.. It ended up being the distributor. All of a sudden my car started acting as if it was missing on a cylinder as well as idling rough. You may want to get a test light to make sure you are getting correct spark. |
