i just bought a 92 mx3 with the stock v6 engine but it was swapped out for a 1.6 and a 1.6 tranny they guy i bought it from says that the revlimiter in the car is ****** up and needs a chip in it to fix it but when i press on the gas hard it boggs out and wont go any faster and starts shaking but if i ease on the gas im fine. also if i keep the RPMS above around 2500 it starts to bogg out and shake again unless i really ease on the gass i can get it to 4500 but thats it.. no sensors come on expect for a few times when im at 3000 RPMS usually at 55 mph the check engine light comes on but when i let off the gas it goes off.
i was told that maybe it would be the MAF sensor so i unplugged it and the car dropped reallly really low idle and then died so its not that.. my next step is to go to the mazda dealer ship and have them **** with it.. but i figued id ask some mx3 enthusiest
