ok so im new here just bought myself a 1992 mazda mx3 and its alot of fun already :P
ive been researching awhile about this whole kzle engine swap (i have the v6 gs edition) and when i was talking to the guy i bought the car from (a good friend of mine) he said that he read somewhere that the kzle doesnt bolt up to the stock manual transmission on the car.... im just curious if it will bolt up fine or if ill be looking at having to put in a different transmission or something else any help would be greatly appreciated! ![]() thanks again! |

It'll bolt directly up, if your MX-3 came with the V6. If I am not mistaken, the 4-cylidners came with the "F" transmission, while the 6's came with the "G". The engine mounts are different between the 4s and 6s too, so you might have fun trying to cram the 6 into a car that came with a 4, even if you get the transmission with it.

since your car came with the 1.8 v6. the KLZE 2.5 is a direct install. you reuse your original trans, and all your original mounts. its a direct replacement. they both even use the same block. your stock ecu wiring, and vaf will even run it without an issue if you cant source the ZE versions.

for stuff related to your mx3, id visit clubprotege.com and mx-3.com. and anything KL related, stick with probetalk.com as they are really the source for anything KL knowledge wise. |
