Is anyone else's airbag sensor light on in their Tribute? I was reading some other forums and learned that it has to do with the airbag deployment. Whether or not the whole system is out or only the passenger's side airbag won't deploy is up for debate.

In my sister's car, sometimes it is on, sometimes it just blinks. I thought only Volkswagens do this. When the light is on, the entire airbag system is shut off for safety.

I am having air bag light problems. It started with staying on for a longer time than normal on start up. Then after a couiple of weeks, it would flash 6 times, then long pause, then flash 4 times, then pause then flash 6 times, long pause, flash 4 times, then pause, then flash 6 times, then long pause, then flash 4 times, pause, flash 6 times, long pause, then flash 4 times, pause then flash 6 times, then pause, then stay on solid until I shut the car off. Once I restated the Tribute, the light worked normally. This would happen about once every couple of weeks, I use the car every day. The dealer said he would not have a clue unless I bring it over when the light is on, then maybe he could find the problem. But it is never on when I can get it in to the dealer. It is soon going to be off warrenty, I suspect then they will know exactly what is wrong!!!!
