I have a 2004 Tribute. When I accelerate and I hit the overdrive the battery warning light flickers. I just changed the battery and yet it still clickers whenever I accelerate and hit the overdrive. I was wondering if anyone knows why this happens or if there is a way to fix this.

The battery light on the dash comes on if the alternator voltage is too low or too high so it is usually the voltage regulator but can be a poor connection or belt slipping.

yea that started happening to my 2003 v6... it only got worse. it was the alternator. check the voltage while its running if its less than 13 you'll know for sure that its not charging.
