Hello, I just bought an 1989 220(i think) mazda truck. It was a second owner and he had put a new engine and transmission in. Runs rough, got it hom, oil is literally pouring out of the front of the engine....any idea of the cause???? Thanks!!!

I'm curious if any one knows what kind of gasket is in between the oil cooler and the block. I think I've isolated a leak to here, was able to tighten the nut under the oil filter element (30mm). I washed it off again, but still see a slight leak. I'm planning to replace the heater core soon, along with the hoses, and plan to remove the intake manifold to better access the hoses and oil filter bracket. I saw an o ring type gasket on one auto parts site, but can't find exact info on it. If it is a flat gasket, I can make one, but it would be great to have one on hand for the work day.

So the day finally came. Removed the intake manifold, removed the oil cooler. Gasket is unique- orange o ring, with inner flat flange piece, about the diameter of what is on the oil filters. napa was unable to match, reinstalled with original o ring and gasket sealant goo on both sides to boost sealing. New intake manifold gasket, etc. winter storm blasting rain the entire time, great fun. Haven't been able to reassess leakage yet, next day was spent replacing heater core. Huge improvement in heat output, but quite a project to get to.
