I know a lot of guys put 350's in their trucks and I'm looking for some info to help me out. What's all involved? I have a friend who will build the engine for me but what sort of complications do I have to look forward to? Anyone have any technical data please let me know.

If your putting it in a newer b-series (ranger clone) there are quite a few ppl that dropped v-8's in it, but of the Ford variety, 302,351 or variations of them. I would have to think that dropping in a chevy motor would require tons of fabrication...I believe they make kits for the ford swap. So if your buddy can/will build a Ford motor it would save alot of headaches.

i would have to agree. Drop in the 5.0 from the mustang and you have a popular engine that ill not break your piggy bank that you can make as powerful as you want causer it has an aftermarket that only the civic can compare.

ok, I have a 92 Mazda B2600i and I want to do a engine swap on that one, and I am looking for tons of power and also the option of adding a turbo charger later on, any suggestions?Would the Mustang 5.0 work in my truck?

The mazda b-2600 is designed for an I-4 so it was designed for that amount of power. If your talking about swapping in a 5.0 V-8 then man you're gonna have to push back the fire wall, your definately going to have to replace the rear end and re-do most of the suspention. Also if your adding a F/I
your best bet would be to go with a super charger. With all that then you have a whole lot of power and I dont know how well the truck in general would take it. Mazda trucks are great for visual mods, but hard as **** to make into racing machines.

is the 92 a ranger clone? if so then a 2.3 (lima block) with turbo or a 5.0. If not a clone I dont know what you could squeeze in there.

There is always nitrous
