First time posters here, was hoping that you guys might be able to help with this problem.

Valves are clicking I change the oil and filter 2 weeks ago seemed to help, but now the noise has come back.

Do I just keep changing the oil and adding Mystery oil like before or is there something else going on?

Thank for your time.

Mazda had problems with this on this series of trucks. The lifters have very weak return springs in them and any wear dirt or O Ring problems will cause this to happen. In my case the small orange O Ring was very hard and this allowed the oil pressure that fed the rocker shafts to squeeze by the O Ring that seals the lifter causing the racket. The cure is to simply replace all of the lifters since it is nearly imposible to tell wich one is making the noise. You just can`t buy the O Rings you have to buy the whole lifter. Its a big job to do this so while you have it all apart clean out all the passages in the rocker arms and the shafts. Use paint and varnish remover not the jelled stuff that clings to vertical surfaces. You will find this works better than anything on the market. Clean off stripper using methyl hydrate and your air compresser making sure all the passages are clean. Keep doing this until there is no visible dirt in the rocker shafts. The kitchen section of your store should have a narrow brush to scrub out the rocker shaft. Wear black rubber gloves , this is messy. You will find that all of the alluminum parts will be silver again. MAKE SURE TO DO REGULAR OIL CHANGES as dirt is the # 1 cause of this problem. I had over 300,000 K on my truck before it made noise. IT IS NOT YOUR OIL PUMP YOU DO NOT NEED A NEW HEAD. Don`t forget to pump the new lifters with fresh clean oil 10/30. If it is noisy at first it will go away after about a mile or two.
