Just wondering if anyone else has found one of these. I have recently found some for 2WD but they say they dont fit 4WD. Anyone know why it wont fit? Could it be modified to fit?
Two I have found: http://www.autopartsauthority.com/qp/mazda...eaders+purchase. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PaceSetter-...sspagenameZWD1V

I've been looking for a header too and came across the same ebay link. The 'fits 2wd-only' thing struck me as odd, since I was under the impression that there's no such thing as an 87-88 2WD B2600 (all 87-88 B2600s were 4WD-only). Is this correct or not?

I think because of the transfer case and driveshafts you need a different header for the 4wd versions. A couple of guys on my forum have found other headers I believe, you could try posting in the B2600 section.

The problem is, the transfer case and driveshafts would have nothing to do with it, since both are on the other side of the engine. However the exhaust systems may be different (the locations of the converters, and such, and the exact locations of any O2 sensors.

The Pacesetter fits the 4WD, I have it on mine... an 87 B2600 4x4. It's just a really tight fit. It sits RIGHT NEXT to the front driveshaft. You may need to use a 2x4 and pry it away just a bit to give yourself some clearance. I didn't have to touch mine and I have about 3/4". I just have about 2' of pipe, a muffler and a turndown for exhaust though. So, I don't know if stock exhaust will bolt up. Any other questions?

Well, custom headers will be the only thing you will be able to find. Perhaps I could point you to someone who can fabricate one. I will be getting a custom exhaust header, only this one will be a very special job. I will keep you posted.
