Are there any common trouble areas for oil pressure loss on the 2.2L? I just dropped in a freshly rebuilt long-block in my 88. I'm seeing little to no oil pressure at idle, but as soon as the rpm's climb the pressure comes up. I'm going to pull off the oil pan and check where the oil pickup tube connects to the block. My only guess is it's not sealing right. I know the pickup isn't clogged because I cleaned the **** out of it when installing the new engine. Any other ideas?

my truck...91 2200 is doing the same thing,i totally rebuilt the engine with clevite bearings, sealed power rings around 10000 miles ago,now the oil light is flickering when it idles,I put a wet guage on it and it has almost no oil pressure at idle, and about 25 pounds when you rev it up.

I pulled the oil pan,and oil pump........the center main thrust bearing side towards the transmission was lying in the oil pan like it caught on something and broke it off the bearing itself, anyone else had this problem?
