I've noticed on extended stretches of the socal toll roads that my '04 B3000 (V6) tops out at 90MPH. Years ago I wouldn't have noticed, but my motorcycle does the same thing (plenty 'o power left, but the wheels just won't turn any faster). It's classy too, it acts like the throttle is cut when i get a hair over 90. This is NOT a major problem, but a bit of an annoyance.
I assume the ECU is limiting top speed; does anyone know for sure? Anyone know if it can be modified? |
