The B series indicates that it is a light duty pickup. The numbers that follow tell you what kind of motor it has. The B2000 for example has a 2.0L while the B3000 has a 3.0L One the B2200 and B2600 if the number also ends with an 'i', it is equipped with a Mazda built fuel injected motor instead of the Mitsubishi motor. Does that answer your question?
Also there was a standard trim package, and SE-5 package (Sport Edition, and I think the 5 means 5 speed), and an LE Trim package, which has chrome window trim and stuff. On the Newer series there is occasionally and FX-4 which is an offroad suspension package. |

Thank you. Not only did you answer my question but you answered my next one as well. I was wondering which mfg made the engines. Didn't know if Ford engines were put in them or Mazda, or what. I have a Ford 4.0 and can't say enough good about it and was hoping the Mazda had it in it. Had a Mazda 323 years back and it was a great little car so now looking into little truck and Mazda is on the top of the list. Thanks again.
