You are just going to have to be handy with fabrication and be ingenious, because when you decide to alter a vintage vehicle, you are not going to find aftermarket support. You can do a search for other people who have done the same thing. But consider this, a truck is meant to be a truck, and once you turn it into a low rider, it is nothing more than a RWD car with a terrible ride that happens to have a bed. If you do not need a truck, get a car, it will be more highly modable. If you are doing this just to be different power to you, but remember, in the process of createing a lowrider, you are killing a truck.

Cool that is a great engine to swap in there. That will definitely make it sweet. You could look into getting air rides on the front and rear to stiffen it up a little for the extra weight. Maybe look into getting stronger springs. Make sure the anti-sway bar is in good condition. And look into getting shock rated for greater weight. That should take care of most of the weight handling stuff. You can get those cheap kits for lowering and lifting from your local parts store, and clamp them on the springs and pull them down, makes for a stiff ride, but it does get the job done quite effectively.
