I just purchased a Pacsetter header for my 1987 B2600 4x4.
I have the obvious problem that I did not know about. It turns right down into the drive shaft and hits the bellhousing also. I have read some post that some people have had no problem putting them on the 4x4's. What is the best way to bend the collector so that it will clear the shaft and meet the stock exhaust? Anyone have any good ideas? Thanks!! |

Yeah, I believe Pacesetter states on their website that the header only fits 2WD, but depending on where you bought it, they usually don't make that clear. The best way to modify them if you just need to move it a little is to heat it up in a vice and then use leverage to bend it. I recommend that you should only do this if you have done something like that before. An experienced exhaust shop should be able to do it for you. When you are done, you will want to get the headers re-coated.
