I have a 93 b2600i 4x4
the engine light was on, due to the emissions. so i switched the wires around and light is out! has anyone had the truck with the engine light on and burns rich? cause this morning it was burning rich! i have not tried it starting it cold ! the truck seems to run better and have a bit more power to me ? |

The TPS is not considered adjustable. The computer automatically calibrates the TPS. You can move it around a little to compensate for some variations.
The O2 sensor is a maintenance item, replace it if it hasn't already been done. If the vehicle is still running rich, make sure it is tuned up properly, including new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. If it still runs poorly after that, suspect that your computer may be malfunctioning. This is a common problem on the B2600i. The computer can be repaired by the people over at AVProECM.com, but you should dissassemble and inspect it first to look for signs of corrosion. |
