Ok, you need three things to run and engine, fuel, ignition, and compression. One of those is missing. You need to do some good old fashioned troubleshooting and figure out which of those three things is absent Loosing all compression so that an engine wont start is almost impossible, so focus on fuel and ignition.

the easiest way to check for fuel is to disconnect the fuel line at the fuel filter and put the line in a clear bottle. you will need to crack the engine to enable the fuel flow, the pump will not prime when the key is turned on, you will need to crank the engine. as far as spark... it could be a signal problem from the computer to the distributor or i suppose it could be the whole distributor. you should get a check engine light for that.

If the coil is not getting power, the most likely culprit is the pickup coil or optical pickup located inside the distributor. You can test this with a scope. If you don't have access to a scope, you will likely have to bite the bullet and replace it. The coil is not available on its own, you have to buy a complete rebuilt distributor. But try to run some electrical tests before jumping to that conclusion, otherwise you may spend a bunch of money and not fix the problem.
