It means your computer has an internal fault with the fuel injection circuit. It most likely means that you computer needs to be rebuilt. I recommend the guys at www.avproecm.com.

O.K. I had the computer rebuilt and now it won't even start - it used to start even though the engine light came on and showed a code 3 - it would miss and run rough at times but it did start everytime. Any ideas as to why after installing my rebuilt computer it won't start? Is there something that needs to be done after reinstalling a rebuilt computer?

That is an unusual problem. When I had my computer rebuilt, the truck ran so much better, but after a little while had a few hickups. It may be just coincidence, but a connector might have been disturbed, or the PIP in the distributor may have failed. Using a good voltmeter, check for a reference tach signal when cranking. If the tach needle moves, or the voltmeter detects a signal, then the PIP is working. If you see no signal, then trace the PIP and ignition coil circuits.
