HI:
Hope someone can help me . I have a 1990 mazda b2600i. I was welding on it and it lost spark . Had to replace coil, distributor and eventually ecu and then I got spark back . ONly problem is the temperature and gas gauges will not work . I got a new used instrument panel and put it in but the temp and gas gauges still do not work. ![]() Unfortunately the truck was built on 11/89 and I bought an 89 book when it really is a 90 so i dont have wiring diagrams. THings I have checked : I put the water sensor in hot water and the gauge did not move I checked the sensor resistance cold it was infinity after putting it into near boiling hot water it read 325 ohms I then checked the resistance to the water GAUGE with the ignition on - that read 477 I checked the fuse to the meter and that is good. I checked the b/y wires going to the meter and they both have 12 volts The tachometer DOES work I looked at a diagram for wiring in the store in a book and i note that both of these gauges have a "regulator" running to them and that is NOT listed in the 89 book. But I cant find this regulator - would that be the cause and if so where is it and how do I check it ? Also I wanted to check one of these gauges directly . ON the meter they have three brass bolts does anyone know if I could connect 12 volts and ground to this and if the meter would move?? Or would that fry em ![]() ANy help would be very much appreciated
