New to site with hard start issues on 90 B2200
Hello, I am going to try my hand at sorcery and hopefully resurrect an almost dead 1990 B2200. It has 2.2, 5-speed trans, EFI, and these issues: Difficult starting when cold, albeit it's summer here in Calif., and 85-90 degrees. While idling, RPMs will drop down and tries to stall out, but just before it does the RPMs surge up to curb idle. While it does this and throttle is applied, it will struggle as though it is running out of gas or the intake is starving for gas/air. Pulling a spark plug shows a dry but sootblack electrode. So it will start, but only idles roughly, as giving gas will choak it, I have yet to drive it because I just got it from the auto-ophanage. I could also use any info on how to get the to the computer codes. Thanks to all who may be able to help.
