Well, they are beneficial, as those studies state, in countries in more northern lattitudes.

Down here, they are only annoying as ****! EVERY time a Saturn or newer Buick or a number of other cars comes up behind me, I have to flip the rear view mirror as I get blinded from behind. And to see one coming head-on causes me to avert my eyes as the lights are very bright.

That is just bizzare, really it is. But hey I don't live down there. Gotta wonder what people who live in the northern states think. I mean there isn't a lot of difference between Calgary and Denver or any Canadian border town and US border town.
