Ok, I just went to my local Mazda dealer in NY.
Iwanted to see if they had any M3's
they didnt get them yet(have to wait 2weeks)
but the did just get the m3 brochures.(i did grab one)

the dealer had like 15 2003 mazda6i's.
I test drove the 6i, 5spd.( i want to compare it to the 3s)
I was pretty impressed at how peppy it was considering a 4 cylinder engine and that i used to have a 5sp '96 626(no comparison between the two)

However i told the dealer I really want to wait to try the m3.
the dealer gave an incredible offer of only (usd)$250/mth for a lease(actually smart buy, no leasing in NY thanks to the lawyers)

I was just trying to see if I could get a lower price with the 3s, or say screw it and go for the 6i(this is including pricing below invoice plus a rebate, which I would also get with the 3s)

Well if you like the 6i and can deal with the couple mpg drop vs the 3, probably is roomier. I dontknow taht you'll get a brand new 3 any cheaper. you could probably stay away from a lease and get a 6i with payments not much more than that 250..if they are still offering 0% and/or some rebates! I'd look at all the options, check the rebates and choose wisely

Couple mpg drop?

The 3s and the 6i 5-speeds are both rated at 25/32 (well...the 2003 6i is, anyway).
