You mean I can fly to Oregon, buy a MAzda3 without sale tax and drive it back to California? Will there be any problem? All i need to do is register the car in California? I'm sure warrantee issues are taken care by my local dealer.
Thanks |

Don't even bother. A California resident is not allowed to buy a NEW vehicle out of state unless it's an emergency like your car got stolen or totaled out of state.
In any case, when you register a new car, you will have to pay the sales tax rate for the county you live in or show proof you have already done so. So it doesn't even matter where buy your car. |
