Sorry this might be a little off topic but on the 3rd page of the Car and Driver review it lists the redline as 7100 rpm. Is this a misprint? I know my tach (Sport GT) shows about 6500rpm as redline. What gives?

A few days ago I had my AT in manual and pulled 7200 rpm's in first gear and it pulled all the way, and was still pulling when I shifted (out of fear) into 2nd.
I've owned 72 cars and trucks and never had one that would hit 7200 rpm's stock. One magazine (Motorweek) said it ran out of breath at redline (6500) but I don't believe it. I love this 2.3 engine. |
