Just to let you all know, we will be coming out with a slew of performance parts for the new Mazda 3. Fuel rails, Adjustable cam sprockets, turbo intake manifolds, engine sleeving, and all kinds of other goodies. We are building a new NHRA Sport Compact all-motor drag car using the Mazda 3 body. Here is a pic of what it will look like!

For more info, check out our website Golden Eagle Mfg.

We also are a sponsor of Ed Bergenholtz in his NHRA Pro FWD Mazda 6. Best time to date is 8.32 @ 180 in the 1/4 mile, turbo charged 4 cyl on Ethanol making over 1000 H.P.

Any of you guys tried any of the 2.3L focus parts yet? The cold air intake kits may fit or be adaptable...and the underdrive pulley kit from FC should also fit.

It kicks in at 120 m.p.h., which is very disappointing since I can get up to 110 m.p.h. in fourth gear without hitting the red line, I would have liked to see what it topped out at. If anyone knows how to disable the govener please let me know.

I have the 3i AT and it stops at 108mph. Talk about disappointing. I'm not that knowledgeable about cars, but I don't think it's a govenor that's doing that. It seems like the gear ratios just need to be changed cuz the rpms don't just shut off but rather stay constant no matter how hard you floor it (and believe me, there is still room to floor it). I don't remember what the rpms were at though.

Shed some light if you know more about this or if I'm saying something wrong.........

It's definatly a speed governer. At 108mph, you have a fuel cutoff (due to the governer) and you can't go any faster. It isn't because of your gears.
