I don't think I ever will. The Dodge Stratus I had for a company car went the entire 60K miles before being turned in with no problems as the the Intrepid I had before that.

I wish I could be happy with 500 dollar disposable cars but I would miss all the features.

My 3 is in Canada, with a temporary airbag light issue.

I wouldn't say the mazda3 has new technology, nor untested technology, however ALL new release cars have first year bugs, its just a fact of life. I believe mazda will be releasing the first service bulletin list on the 3 in april 04

I am in Canada too. I expected that there would be some problems with this car when I purchased it because this is the first year. I am upset over how my dealership has "handled" my problems (especially with their reputation as having good customer service). I feel that they should be aware of the problems and let the customer who comes in with the problem know what is going on. I had to research the problem online, phone Mazda Canada to confirm and tell my dealership what they were going to do to fix it. They should pay me for the "work" I did researching :-)

I am surprised that Mazda will not have the first bulletin until April 04. With 3 known problems (CEL, airbag sensor, brake wear), you would think the bulletin would be out this month.

i agree with you, but crappy reception from dealers is to be expected.
i really have no respect for most of the dealerships out there. For every problem you have, they give you some bs quick fix answer that gets you out of their hair. once they've made a sale, they (managers) could care less about your problems.

it would be nice if one day, they could just admit that they don't know a problem. and offer you to speak to one of their mechanics, who are like hidden in the back.
