Hey there. I've been sitting on my ass for the last few weeks waiting for my new 3 to come in, and it just this moment hit me. What are the sizes of the discs on it? I was wondering if any of you guys could help. 14 days left....

Oh. In case it matters, I'm getting a 3 GT w/GFX (17").

Thanks for the help. I expect one of you guys has to know.

300mm (11.8") front

280mm (11.0") rear

it's pretty big size brake disc on this size of a car.

Thanks guys. I told my brother and he's pissed off. I've got better brakes than him and he's got a 2003 GTI 1.8T all decked out.

awsome brakes . Braking distances from 60 are 120 ft. Same as my svt focus was; it also had 11.8 in the front, 11 in. in the rear.

The bigger the brake disc, the greater the heat dissipation capability means less brake fade. The downsides are weight and a larger target for mud and possible damage.
