Actually they are not things you notice on a test drive necessarilly. For instance, the seat issue is only an issue when I have been in the car for more than 15 minutes (my legs go numb or hurt). The window switches not lighting up I would not have noticed unless I went at night - I assumed they would have lit up so never thought about it.
Oh, and Siphen - regarding your problem with the lights dimming when you put the lights on in the day - there is a setting (right on the speedo cluster opposite the trip reset button) that will make the light bright again even if the lights are turned on. I hope that helps you :-)
I wish my issues were so easily resolved!
As I said I do not dislike the mazda3 - I really do like it (more and more everyday). I think one problem might be that I do miss my old Hyundai. It was 6 years old with 172,000 miles on it, but it never ever broke down, was totally comfo and quick. It's hard for me to part with the old car, but I am hoping that the Mazda is just as good. I was going to get a 2004 Hyundai Elantra GT hatchback but I wanted something a little more "special" and nicer. I am not dogging the car at all - simply voicing my issues and wondering if anyone else had them.
