I just got my new Mazda3i last week, and it seems to be pretty loud when starting the car. Is this normal?

When I the engine turns over it seems really loud for a second. Also during acceleration after I am stopped. It might be normal, but I am paranoid about my new car because of all the problems I had with the old one.

On contrary, I can say Mz3 2.3 is quite quiet... so you may want to check with the dealer, or let's get together on next 3rd...

I own both a 3 i and a 3s 5dr. Mine are not what I would consider loud on startup. Just drive it. If it breaks take it in for warranty work. If you get any sh$t from the dealer contact Mazda direct from their website. They will make it right.

Mine is pretty quiet on startup too. Check with the dealer, make sure you test a couple cars in the lot too. Seems like some of the U.S cars are running rough judging by the comment on various post.

We've had temperature in the -20 to -30C range all January. Startup was never a problem. Thank god spring is finally here
