I had my Mazda3 GT for 4 days now ! Only 400km , i was stopped at a traffic ligh up hill , with the auto trans ( not the tronic one ) and at green light i tried to go .... the car shut off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it did it twice and i am sooooooooooooo upset . its the weekend and i wont be able to see the dealer till monday .....DID ANY BODY HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN TO THEM ! ANY IDEAS WHY THIS MIGHT HAPPEN

interesting... haven't heard of that one b4...
so u have an auto WITHOUT the sport manual shift ("tronic" as u called it)? u sure about that? all Mazda3 AT's have it...

Mine did shut off once. i was in a parking lot where there was a lot of bumpy ice, i came to a slow down then it just died but started back ok...

I had the samething happen. The parking lot I was in had about a 10 degree up slope to it. See my post which describes in more detail what happened:

Thank you all for the reply ! the car is fine so far , i went to the dealer and they said as long as the engine light is not on and it started again no issue and its a one time thing ! ( my car does have the half-manual thing , i guess it was unclear in what i wrote before )
