Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror

I love this thing! Being the weather freak that I am I had to have this on my new Mazda 3 and the temperature always seems to be extremely accurate. I was told that this mirror only works on the M3 base model (GX) and not the others including the hatchback because of the rain sensing windshield wipers. Anyone else heard of this and does anyone else have the mirror?

Oh yeah, I've had the car for two weeks (only put on 165 km) but I love it so far. The weather has been great so far except for when I picked it up. It actually was a beautiful day as were the days before (around 17C/62F) then when I went to pick it up it clouded over, got very windy, started to rain then snow with poor visibility. I was a bit nervous at first but everything went fine, even got to test it out on some ice and snow right away. I am curious how the car will be in the bitter Canadian cold though.

I have the mirror with the same functions but also added homelink to be able to open up the garage doors.

I have this on the M3 5-door and it works great. I did have problems at first but they were due to the fact that the install instructions were incorrect (Mazda has updated these) but now it works flawlessly.
